Summary

Full Description: An 19-plus-2-Key "Flutina" or "Accordéon Diatonique".
A later model in two-row form, with a pair of pivoted levers atop the hand-bar operating a pair of rise-and-fall pearl pallets leading to drone chordal reed-plates. The pearl pallets are of circular-ended spoon format, with several having coloured pearl inset discs. The large brass left-hand air valve pallet is within a raised scalloped wooden rim.
The instrument measures 107 x 295mm, has 4-fold bellows with green tracery patterned papers, and the bellows frames are of scalloped profile with delicate wooden inlays.
The instrument was sold from the Vichy (France) Auction of historic Flutinas as Lot 183, 11th December 2010.
