Summary

Full Description: A 25-Key "Flutina" or "Accordéon Diatonique".
A later, more developed model in two-row form (the rows of 12 and of 13 keys on either side of the hand-bar), this model without with any pivoted levers atop the hand-bar. The pearl pallets are of square-ended format, with blued steel securing screws. The large brass left-hand air valve lever and pallet is within a raised scalloped wooden rim, together with two smaller brass pallets operated by jointed brass levers and buttons, and operating brass drone reeds within the LH end. There is a further extra ivory control button at the narrow end, operating an extra range of reeds within the instrument. The instrument measures 128 x 380mm, has 6-fold bellows with blue floral patterned papers, and the bellows frames are of scalloped profile.
The instrument was sold from the Vichy (France) Auction of historic Flutinas as Lot 194, 11th December 2010.
