Reeds and Reed PansReed Pans Summary: The Reeds are screwed directly to the inner face of the action-board, in a trianglular array of three rectagular hardwood-framed areas, each holding five rectangular, double-sided aluminium reed-frames of continental/accordion format. The reeds are held down upon an array of thin chamois gasketry glued to the face of the raised pan triangle. Each steel reed tongue is held down by a single hand-peened steel rivet, and each entire reed-frame is held down to the raised pan triangle by a brass L-shaped clamp at each end, held down by a steel nut on an inset steel bolt.
