The ends have mounting slats glued around the inner edges of their underside, which assists the ends to nest into the action frame, and may control warping. End-Profile: Hand-cut intricate pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply rosewood fretwork, with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number. End Material: Hand-cut intricate pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply rosewood fretwork, with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number. End Bolts: Very flat cheese-head brass bolts. Fret Pattern: Hand-cut intricate pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply rosewood fretwork, with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number. Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH,bird-shaped to LH (for serial No 349). Strap Screw-insert type: Inset rectangular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by two steel screws. Finger-rest: Early appearance of short curved-end style of finger-rest, clad in original dark green leather, 3 securing screws. Fret Condition: Very fine Damage Summary: Good condition: Some slight fret damage, but a remarkable survival. |
