Main Case: Original hexagonal rosewood veneered, velvet-lined case, with lock and key. Embouchure and Original top strap absent (later leather belt fitted), one rear hinge broken.

Main Case Measurement: 182 x 185mm tall
Main Case Material: Original hexagonal Rosewood veneered case, solid bevelled lid, and top strap replaced.
Main Case Lock: Two-clasp brass Lock, embouchure missing.
Main Case Hinges: Two Brass hinges, (one broken) each stamped "P Moore Registered Sep 1844". four steel screws each.
Main Case Straps: Later broken top strap.
