Reeds and Reed Pans

Reed Pans Summary: Rectilinear arrangement of reed chambers, with open areas to either side of the pan.

Reed Pans Stamps: "L" and "R" to top chamber, plus serial number 2466 stamped to inner face of each pan.

Reed Pans Serial Numbers: 2466 stamped to inner face of each pan.

Reed Pans Gasketry: Pale yellow chamois.

Reed Pans Right Hand Cross Pieces: Cross-pieces with chamois caps to each of the ten outer chambers per pan.

Reed Pans Left Hand Cross Pieces: Cross-pieces with chamois caps to each of the ten outer chambers per pan.

Reeds Summary: 40 wedge profiled round-ended brass reed frames, 10 on each side of each reed pan. Round-end frames, with steel tongues, each secured by two small domed brass screws. Note-names stamped on the reed-frames.

Reed Frame Material: Brass.

Reed Tongue Material: Steel.

Reed Frame Shape: Tapered round-ended brass reed frames, with note-names stamped on the reed-frames.

Reed Tongue Profile: Parallel.

Reed Securing Screws: Two brass screws.

Stamps on Reed Frames: Note-names stamped on reed-frames.
