End FretsSummary: A hand-cut pattern of hexagonal flat two-ply rosewood with chamfered edges, embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number (both present). The fretwork-frame and action frame are clad in rosewood veneer. End Shape: Hexagonal End Sides: Six End Diameter: 154mm. End-Profile: Flat, with chamfered edges. End Material: Single layer rosewood, chamfered edges. End Bolts: Tall cheese-head brass bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows. Fret Pattern: Later Chidley pattern - oval label cartouche, scalloped LH number cartouche. Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, small scalloped to LH Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by a single steel screw Finger-rest: Standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, fully-clad with green leather cladding. Three small securing screws. Fret Condition: Fine Damage Summary: New Lock added, later thumb-straps added. |
