Summary

Full Description: One of a series of sets of scraps featuring the inventions of Sir Charles Wheatstone, (whose image is the main scrap and centred on the sheets) and also including bits on cable-laying, Froment's Dial, a telegraph Boy, the Electric Clock and Telegraph Poles! These scraps were sold as a rectangular sheet of all individual pieces together as one sheet, (as in Item NC.3.5-005) but usually appear as separate pieces, often pasted onto scrapbook pages. The Series was Serial Number 11423 from the printers 'HS AG' whose circular Trade-mark appears on full un-separated sets of the scraps. This item is most of the scraps from the full Wheatstone sheet, with extra scraps , all pasted onto both sides of a frayed page from a scrapbook.
