End FretsSummary: Very early pattern of hexagonal flat single layered rosewood. Deep sided, with the sides lapping over the raised action "nest Frame". The ends have mounting slats around their underside, which assits the ends to nest into the action frame. End Shape: Hexagonal End Sides: Six End Diameter: 142mm End-Profile: Flat End Material: Single-ply rosewood, warped to LH end, slight damage to RH end, rosewood-veneered sides. End Bolts: Very flat cheese-head brass bolts. End Stamps / Labels: Oval silver plaque, "His Maj" engraving, screwed to the end with two small blued steel screws. Label Embouchure Pattern: None Strap Screw-insert type: Inset rectangular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by two steel screws. Finger-rest: Original plain straight L-shaped brass strip Fret Condition: LH warped, RH some damage Damage Summary: Fair: Straps absent, some fret damage and warping. |
