End FretsSummary: Later style, less intricate pattern of hexagonal flat two-ply rosewood fretwork, with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number (both present). The divided end arrangments of Fretwork frame and action frame are of radial grained, rosewood. End Shape: Hexagonal End Sides: Six End Material: Two-ply rosewood with fine and near perfect fretting, of a somewhat less intricate pattern to earlier models. End Bolts: Deep profile cheese-head brass bolts - first use of these more conventional bolts in the early Wheatstones in the Collection. Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, shield-shaped to LH (showing serial No). Strap Screw-insert type: Inset rectangular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by two steel screws. Finger-rest: More standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, no trace of leather cladding, three securing screws. Fret Condition: Very fine Damage Summary: Good condition, some chips to case. |
