Reeds and Reed PansReed Pans Summary: Very unusual radial pan with central hole, that is of circular profile, and sits within a circular pan-frame, edged within a circular "French Cradle" shelf; this circular pan is no doubt the reason for the end-bolts being at the corners of the end-frame, rather than in the centre of each of the six frame-sides. The pans are inset flush to bellows-frame, and with narrow dividers clad in conventional yellow chamois. Reed Pans Main Labels: None - but each note-name added in pencil, adjacent to each reed and on both sides of each pan. Reed Pans Stamps: L & R (twice). Reed Pans Serial Numbers: 560 (Twice) Reed Pans Gasketry: Conventional yellow chamois Reed Pans Right Hand Cross Pieces: None Reed Pans Left Hand Cross Pieces: One, of cork, in top "G" chamber. Reeds Summary: 22 pairs of wedge profiled square-ended brass reed frames, markedly tapered, brass frames and blued-steel tongues each secured by two brass screws. Note names stamped on each reed-frame, and note-names in pencil on inner and outer faces of pan adjacent to reeds. Reed Frame Material: Very tapered brass reed frames Reed Tongue Material: Blued steel Reed Frame Shape: Very tapered, and square-ended.
