BellowsBellows Summary: 4-Fold green leather bellows, (now stained black) markedly thicker than early examples, but still with "Bookbinder" tucks and folds. The frame is flush with the action frame. With another appearance of the gilt "Circle and Dot" patterned white (stained Black) papers found on many pre-No 1500 instruments. The bellows have silk bottom-bout reinforcements. Inner Bellows Cradle: A conventional set of six triangular corner mounts within the bellows-frame support the reed-pan Bellows Folds and Features: Four fold, thicker style bellows, some "Bookbinder's" features, circle & Dot papers Bellows Leather colour: Stained black, originally Dark Green. |
