Main Case: Original hexagonal mahogany-veneered case, solid flat unbevelled lid, velvet-lined, and with circular pearl-inlaid lock cartouche. Top strap absent. The case contains a note, probably in Harry Minting's hand, saying "No 728, C Wheatstone & Co, 48 key treble concertina" plus an owner's handwritten fingering chart.

Main Case Shape: Hexagonal

Main Case Measurement: 181 x 163mm tall

Main Case Material: Mahogany-veneered case, solid flat Mahogany lid.

Main Case Lock: Inset 2-clasp brass lock, key absent

Main Case Hinges: Two brass hinges, unlabelled.

Main Case Straps: Top strap missing
