End Frets

Summary: The post-1848 machine-cut fretwork is now the standard format. The frets are machine-cut, flat to edges with embouchures for dealer's label and but serial number not present here.

End Shape: Hexagonal

End Sides: Six

End Diameter: 157mm

End-Profile: Flat.

End Material: Single-ply pale and grained flat rosewood ends.

End Bolts: Medium cheese-head brass bolts, (one RH sheared) securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Fret Pattern: Post-1848 machine-cut simple fretwork.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, scalloped shape to LH

Strap Screw-insert type: No Strap-screw inserts fitted on this budget model.

Finger-rest: Standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, with original full leather cladding. Three securing screws.

Fret Condition: Fine.

Damage Summary: Replaced straps.
