Reeds and Reed Pans

Reed Pans Summary: Shallow radial pans with the central hole offset towards the smaller chambers now in a shallow and symmetrical layout. Pan inset flush to bellows-frame, and with narrow dividers clad in conventional yellow chamois. The pans are flush to the bellows-frame and reed-pans.

Reed Pans Main Labels: No circular pan label on this instrument.

Reed Pans Stamps: L & R twice

Reed Pans Serial Numbers: None - L or R only.

Reed Pans Gasketry: pale yellow chamois

Reed Pans Right Hand Cross Pieces: RH: 6 Wooden cross-pieces, (superceding the previous use of cork cross-pieces), each chamois-capped, on top chambers

Reed Pans Left Hand Cross Pieces: LH: 6 wooden cross-pieces, (superceding the previous use of cork cross-pieces), each chamois-capped, on top chambers

Reeds Summary: 96 wedge profiled, long-scale round-ended brass reed frames, 24 on each side of each reed pan. Blued steel reed-tongues, with pairs of small steel securing screws.

Reed Frame Material: Brass

Reed Tongue Material: Brass tongues.

Reed Frame Shape: Tapered long-scale round-ended brass reed frames.

Reed Tongue Profile: parallel

Reed Securing Screws: Two flat steel securing screws.
