Reeds and Reed Pans

Reed Pans Summary: Shallow radial pans with the central hole offset towards the smaller chambers now in a shallow and symmetrical layout. The chamber each have a wooden/chamois capped cross piece, and the reeds have brass long-scale reed-frames, blued steel reeds, the tongues secured with domed steel screws holding down brass cross pieces. Pan inset flush to bellows-frame.

Reed Pans Main Labels: The "Wheatstone" stamp, plus the serial number "31778".

Reed Pans Gasketry: Dark brown chamois

Reeds Summary: 112 wedge profiled, long-scale round-ended brass reed frames, 56 on RH reed pan, 56 on LH reed pan. Blued steel reed-tongues, with pairs of small domed steel securing screws, holding down the tongue via a brass cross-piece.
