Summary: An intricate, hand-cut pattern of hexagonal flat solid rosewood-on-hardwood fretwork, with oval embouchure for maker/dealter's label and scalloped embouchure for a serial number (both present). The fretwork-frame and action frame are clad in rosewood veneer

End Shape: Hexagonal

End Sides: Six

End Diameter: 156mm

End-Profile: Flat

End Material: Solid rosewood frets, veneered sides

End Bolts: Shallow-height cheese-head brass bolts, with additional nickel washers, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Fret Pattern: Early Chidley pattern - oval label cartouche, scalloped LH number cartouche.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, small scalloped to LH

Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by a single steel screw

Finger-rest: Standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, original dark green leather . Three securing screws.

Fret Condition: Fine

Damage Summary: RH strap repaired.
