Summary: A hand-cut and intricate late Chidley pattern of hexagonal flat three-ply, rosewood with chamfered edges, embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number. The fretwork-frame and action frame are clad in rosewood veneer.

Fret Pattern: Later Chidley pattern - oval label cartouche, scalloped LH number cartouche.
Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, small scalloped to LH.
Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by a single steel screw
Finger-rest: Later gilt-washed and rimmed format curved-end brass finger-rests, unclad. Three securing screws.
Fret Condition: Fine
Damage Summary: Case top strap missing.
