End FretsSummary: A hand-cut pattern of hexagonal flat three-ply, rosewood with chamfered edges, embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number (both present). The fretwork-frame and action frame are clad in rosewood veneer. End Shape: Hexagonal End Sides: Six End Diameter: 155mm End-Profile: Flat, with chamfered edges. End Material: Three-ply rosewood, chamfered edges. End Bolts: Medium cheese-head brass bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows. Fret Pattern: Later Chidley pattern - oval label cartouche, smaller scalloped LH number cartouche. Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, small scalloped to LH Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass screw-fittings to side, each secured by a single steel screw Finger-rest: Standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, with replacement brown leather cladding. Three securing screws. Fret Condition: Fine Damage Summary: Case top strap missing, replaced thumb-straps. |
