BellowsBellows Summary: The replacement 4-Fold green leather bellows are probably from an early 1844 period Wheatstone, and are numbered 952: If of Wheatstone origin, the instrument with these bellows was sold to Mt Chappell in 1845 (see ledgers Link: [http://www.horniman.info/WNCMARC/C1046/PAGES/C2P0340S.HTM ]) They have the early "Gilt circles and dots" papers, all painted over with black paint. Inner Bellows Cradle: A conventional set of six triangular corner mounts, with added top-padding (to correct the fit of the Nickolds pan to them) within the bellows-frame support the reed-pan.
