End Frets

Summary: The hand-cut fretwork is specially created for this unique format. The frets are hand-cut, flat to bevelled edges with oval embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number (both present)

End Shape: "Stretched Octagon"

End Sides: Eight

End Diameter: 178.5 x 238mm

End-Profile: Flat, with bevelled edges.

End Material: Single-ply figured flat rosewood ends, with veneer side panels covering down and around the fret edging and action board levels.

End Bolts: Medium height cheese-head brass bolts, of long form, securing the fretwork end to the deep action frame and bellows.

Label Embouchure Pattern: The hand-cut fretwork is specially created for this unique format. The frets are hand-cut, flat to bevelled edges with oval embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number

Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass disc with one steel securing screw.

Finger-rest: Standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, remnants of original leather cladding. 2 securing screws (one of large diameter, and the central hole on the finger-rest never fitted with a screw.

Fret Condition: Fine.

Damage Summary: Later thumb-straps.
