The frets are machine-cut, flat to edges with oval embouchure for the dealer's label and a smaller scalloped label for a serial number (both present). Good condition. End Shape: Hexagonal End Sides: Six End Diameter: 157.5mm End-Profile: Flat. End Material: Single-ply grained flat Mahogany ends, with solid Mahoganysides around the fret edging and action board levels. End Bolts: Shallow domed steel wood-screws, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows. Fret Pattern: Post-1848 machine-cut fretwork introduced by Lachenal & Co when he worked at Wheatstone's. Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval embouchure for the dealer's label and a smaller scalloped label for a serial number to LH Strap Screw-insert type: No Strap-screw inserts fitted on this budget model. Finger-rest: Standard format curved-end brass finger-rests, each with partial original leather cladding. 3 securing screws. Fret Condition: Good Damage Summary: Top case-strap missing, later thumb-straps. |
