Labels and Serial Numbers

Label Mounted on end: Inset oval engraved nickel silver label of "The Edeophone, Lachenal & Co., London, W.C." to RH end, with lenticular profield nickel silver plaque bearing serial number to LH end.

Serial Number mounted on End: 43551: An inset nickel plaque of different profile to that bearing the maker's label bears the serial number to LH end.

Serial Number On Side of end: The "Registered Design Number" is stamped in gilt on a panel of the bellows-frame leather to each end. It reads "Rd. 128662".

Serial Number On Action Board: Serial number 43551 on inner face of action board, on top and bottom rims. The "Registered Design Number" is stamped in ink on the inner face of the action board. It reads "Rd. 128662".

Serial Number On Pans: Serial number 43551 just once on the rim of the stepped annular hole in the centre of the Pans

Serial Number On Bellows Frame: Serial number 43551 on inner bellows-frame.

Dealer's Labels Summary: The rectangular paper label of the previous owner and vendor is glued to the inner face of the action: "Joel M Cowan, Purveyor of Rare and Unusual Concertinas, PO Box 6706, Ithaca, NY 14851 USA."
