End Frets

Summary: Two-ply Amboyna ends with chamfered edges that reveeal the dark/ebony wood lower layer.The sides of the fret-frame and action frame are veneered in Amboyna-wood.

End Shape: Twelve-sided

End Sides: Twelve

End Diameter: 153mm

End-Profile: Gently raised ends, chamfered edges

End Material: Two-ply Amboyna ends, with side panels of ends and action frame of Amboyna veneer.

End Bolts: Medium cheese-head domed pale brass end-bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Fret Pattern: High quality Lachenal & Co pattern, with frets cut amongst the keys.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Inset engraved & scrollworked brass label of "The Edeophone, Lachenal & Co., London, W.C." to RH end, with similar inset brass plaque bearing serial number to LH end.

Strap Screw-insert type: Two pairs of Inset circular brass discs with one steel securing screw, securing the Wrist-straps.

Finger-rest: Another appearance of chamfered edged gold-plated nickel finger-rests.

Fret Condition: Fine.

Damage Summary: Fine quality and condition.
