End Frets

Summary: Flat rosewood single layer frets, hand-cut, with fancy floral pearl inlays to each corner, veneered frames, with an annular ring of fret-work. Much damage, but all loose pieces conserved.

End Shape: Hexagonal

End Sides: Six

End Diameter: 162mm

End-Profile: Flat

End Material: Geo Case patterned rosewood-fretworked ends, pearl corner inlays.

End Bolts: Shallow domed brass end-bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Fret Pattern: Standard Case pattern fretwork and pearl corner inlays.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Scalloped Case-style label Cartouche, no label.

Strap Screw-insert type: Inset rectangular brass insert with two steel securing screws.

Finger-rest: Curved end nickel, no cladding.

Fret Condition: Poor, many loose fragments (conserved).

Damage Summary: No case, fret damage, later strap leathers.
