End FretsSummary: A simple machine-cut pattern of varnished mahogany frets, now with fretting below the hand-bars, in the standard pattern of many 2-row George Jones anglos of this period. End Shape: Hexagonal. End Sides: Six. End Diameter: 157mm. End-Profile: Flat. End Material: The fretwork-frame and action frame edges are varnished mahogany. End Bolts: Domed-head steel bolts, several missing. (As used on most early and budget anglo production in this period) securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows. Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval embouchure for maker's label (absent) and smaller top-scalloped oval for LH serial number (number absent). Strap Screw-insert type: No inserts - the later screws go direct to wood of action frame. Damage Summary: Poor condition case, maker label and serial number missing from RH and LH cartouches. |
