End Frets

Summary: A simple machine-cut three-section array of solid rosewood bevelled-edged frets, with fretting below the hand-bars, in a larger variant of the standard pattern of many 2- row George Jones "anglos" of this period.

End Shape: Hexagonal.

End Sides: Six.

End Diameter: 163.5mm.

End-Profile: Bevelled edges.

End Material: The fretwork-frame and action frame edges are dark rosewood.

End Bolts: Domed, medium height brass end-bolts, securing the fretwork end to the action frame and bellows.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval embouchure with dealer's label and smaller scalloped-top oval for LH serial number (number not present).

Strap Screw-insert type: No inserts - the screws (now missing) go directly into to wood of action frame.

Damage Summary: Case top strap missing, later RH hand-strap.
