End Frets

Summary: A hand-cut pattern of hexagonal flat single-ply, rosewood with embouchures for maker's label and for a serial number. The fretwork-frame and action frame are rosewood-veneered.

End Shape: Hexagonal.

End Sides: Six.

End Diameter: 155mm.

End-Profile: Flat.

End Material: Solid rosewood.

End Bolts: Tall cheese-head brass bolts.

Fret Pattern: Oval RH label cartouche, smaller oval LH number cartouche.

Label Embouchure Pattern: Oval to RH, small oval to LH.

Strap Screw-insert type: Inset circular brass insert, secured by single steel screw to action frame.

Finger-rest: Curved-end brass finger-rests with partial original cladding . Three securing screws.

Fret Condition: Some cracking, damage to RH label embouchure.

Damage Summary: Top strap missing, baffles absent.
