Action BoardAction Board Summary: Domed slotted brass pillars, with brass-wire levers with short flattened area around the pillars, dipping under the pivot axle in the pillars. Brass springs. White cardboard pallets, all same size. This single-action instrument has a central hole in the action board, sculpted around the key-insertions, to allow air into the bellows when on "draw". Action Board Pivot: Split Cylinder with axle Action Board Levers: Brass wire. Action Board Springs: Brass Action Board Pallets: White cardboard pallets, all same size. Action Board Air Valve: No Action Board Securing-screw pattern: Trio of wooden cylindrical supports receiving the three broad brass screws from strap, finger-rest and top fret area. Action Board Sub-fret-board Supports: Trio of rectangular chamois-topped board supports. Action Board Labels: L twice and reversed R once, plus Serial Number 262 to action rim, and "Nickolds London" stamped on inner action face. |
