Red velvet lining, pearl lock embouchure, two-clasp brass lock stamped "Patent", no key. Large T Prowse label in lid. Main Case Shape: Hexagonal Main Case Measurement: 179 x 165mm tall Main Case Material: Original hexagonal Rosewood veneered case, solid bevelled lid. Main Case Inner Label: A fine rectangular gilt on purple paper label in lid, printed "T Prowse, Manufacturer, 13 Hanway Street, Oxford Street, No Connexion with any other House, in or out of London". Main Case Lock: A two-clasp brass lock with pearl embouchure. Main Case Hinges: Two Brass hinges, each stamped "P Moore Registered Sep 1844." Four steel screws each. Main Case Straps: Top strap absent. |
